She Got her Ear Rangs!!!!




Well she did it! I have to admit, she was a soldier! I was real nervous about finally getting it done...i'm all frantic and forgot the dang pacifier at home...realized it when were half way to the mall. Daddy said she wouldn't need it and he was right! She didn't!
The right ear was easy breezy...only flinched byt the pic to the left here was after the left ear..I think it was the noise. But she popped her collar, well her hoodie and was good to go!
Then all of the sudden she copped this dang diva attitude, like, "Where's my water!?" I was like what the heck!? Didn't have any naps..was up till about 11ish...Dad finally put her to sleep with the Jungle Book doing the monkey dance...whatever that was! I put them both out my bedroom, I was pooped man! But she looks so freakin cute! I love her!

Today I went with a group of my Sorors to go see Tyler Perry's new movie, "Why Did I Get Married?" PLEASE GO SEE THE MOVIE!!! Excellent movie, I expected no less. I was just really hoping it was all what it was hyped up to be, and of course it was! Great actors, great story line. I am not going to say too much about the movie here in case you did not see it...go see the movie. Very emotional movie....what a genius Tyler is! You go boy!

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist first. The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

I'm Dying Here!!!

Okay...
I am really trippin here. I am participating in a No Shopping Challenge on my Yahoo group and Lord am I having a hrd time!!! I really feel that now my mind is playing tricks on a sista! Big time! Everywhere I go I see cool stuff! Stuff is just calling my name! "Trisha...., Trisha....!!!"
I know some of my favorite LSS have had some new product arrive and I can't even go look at it because I am weak! So I am really trying my best to just stay away!!! I stay away from the scrapbook section at Target as well. I say to myself, "Well, it won't hurt to look.." Damnit! yes it will hurt me to look! Who am I fooling!? Hello! And why has the damn dollar bins have so much cool stuff I want!? They had some pretty cool ribbon, albums, etc.

There are advantages and disadvantages...

Advantages: Well it will force me to use what I have in my stash! You know I am a professional collector right? Yeah..I have a crap load of stuff...Well SO FAR...I have done well! I just can't wait till this mess is over, cause its giving me a headache!

DISADVANTAGES: Okay...at the end of this challenge..the Ontario Scrapbook Expo is coming up! So what do you think I am gonna do? I will TRY and contain myself! After that SoCal Shop Hop you would think that I don't need anything else....well you know me! It's like freakin CRACK! LOL!

National Card Making Day

Today was fun! I had a good time today making cards in honor of National Card Making Day!
Today, myself, Nancy, Alondra, Jennifer, Tomasa, Holly and Sylvia...and Baby Fiona made cards and scrapbooked today. We had a lot of fun as usual, lots of snacks as I wouldn't expect any less. I have never really took a plunge in card making but I thinkI did pretty well to not make cards on the usual. I made some Christmas cards for the holidays coming up and some Thank You cards which will always be in handy!

We scrapped from about 1:00pm - 9ish...yeah we are die harders! LOL!

So if any of you ladies are reading this, thank you for coming out! Thanks Nancy for taking the long trip and bringing sweet little Baby Fiona! She is getting so big and cute! Hopefully I will see you again this coming Monday! If not, we shall see each other again soon!

Making cards is not a hard task. It will also help diminish the huge "SCRAP" bin of scraps I have...left over from pther projects that I swear I will reuse! So, I will definatelt be making a committment to myself for trying harder on maximizing my purchases and use everything I buy! Since the No Shopping Challenge on our Yahoo board, it has really help me realize that I do have a lot of stuff! I just need to utilize what I have! But its like any scrapper on crack! We need a fix! Anyway, it's late, and I think I am getting into another dangerous topic...let me go before I write another few paragraphs on me being a professional collector of scrap items!

Wednessday Night Woes!

He wants my insurance money! It happened just like in the movies!
Okay, this is kind of a funny story, even more so, because I was wondering what my next blog entry would be...and here we are!

Well Wednessday evening around 11ish...I was on my laptop as usual minding my business instant messageing some friends and Reggie is watching a movie. He was being a cool husband and decided to get some Dibs (new age Bon-Bon's) into a little bowl for us to share....
So, I'm poppin em' back to back...maybe had 5....until my mouth got all tingly...
The same kind of tingly feeling I get when I have an allergic reaction to peanuts or seafood! So, I tell Reggie, "Babe! I think there was a peanut in here! I think I ate it!" So, needless to say, the feeling intensified within minutes, I am in the bathroom, rinsing my mouth out, brushing my teeth, trying to get rid of all remnants of the peanut that was aaccidently in my ice cream!

I'm in the bathroom, frantically trying to rince it all out, while Reggie is by my side making sure I am okay but in the same breath, "Babe! We should sue!" So, I am like, "Boy be quiet! Go get me the box!" I wanted to see the box because you know a lot of times when you go for ice cream they have to put the disclaimer about allergies (peanuts). So I read it and it does say the disclaimer and it says that there are almonds in the ice cream! So I am like "WHAT!?" I turn the cannister around only to see the words, "Nestle Drumstick" written on the front of the box! So I am yelling, "REGGIE!!!!!! YOU GOT THE WRONG KIND!!!"

Okay, so he called himself replacing my Nestle Crunch Dibs with the Nestle Drumstick. The only thing they has in common was that the logo for both was red, white and blue and both made by Nestle! So he picked up the wrong one without reading the lable carefully! So, I am really frantic now! I'm thinking I ate just one little measly peanut, when I actually ate more than that! Within a few more minutes, the feeling intensifies even more! My throat is beginning to become numb, my lips are swelling and my eyes are itching!!! My baby is dead to the world sleeping the night away, I have to go to ER! OMG! CRAP! Last time this happened, there was a peanut on the bottom slice of my pizza and just went to bed hoping I would be fine in the morning....NOT! Last time I looked like an oversized chipmunk! It was so uncool! So I did not want a repeat of what happened last year so I had to go to the hospital!

At this point, Reggie is feeling completely horrible! =( I kept teasing him asking if he wanted my insurance money!? He said it wasn't enough! Sucker! I been giving him a hard time ever since...trying to kill me!

So a shot in my right butt cheek later, and a strong dose of Benedryl, I got sent home...
Another close call....he tried to kill me yall! LOL!

Weekend Has Come and Gone...Bummer

Well as time gets closer it is almost time for me to get back to work...darn!
I have been fortunate to be off work since May for my pregnancy leave. Bre just turned 3 months so at least I was able to stay home for that. I am blessed that she will be going to grandma's and grandpa's house while we are at work during the day. She knows them already very well and is very comfortable with them!

Anyway, my weekend consisted of making money, warm weather, and having fun! Saturday, we had a HUGE garage sale and made lots of money. Myself and my sister in law were out there hustling! Jaylene sold lots of baby stuff, clothes and toys..I had tons of scrapbook stuff, clothes, books, appliances, furniture, etc. Whatever didn't sell was not going back into the house, but will be going to Salvation Army tomorrow!

Sunday, I surprised Reg and took him to one of our favorite spots to eat breakfast, BC's Cafe. It was scrumptious! But we were so full! I should have chosen a different place to eat, because he wasn't aware that I was also taking him to the Los Angeles County Fair afterwards...It was HOT! Oh, and it was pretty pricey! $15 per person to get in and $10 to park! Geez! Not to mention we had to get a little something to quench our thirsts, good thing we weren't hungry. We saw some crazy items there from various vendors, like Fried Coke, Fried Frog Legs, Fried Snickers, Fried Twinkies, and there were a few others...
Even though we were only there for a few hours, we still had a good time with each other. Pictures will be posted later!

3 Months Old Today!


Well Miss Breanna is 3 months today! How exciting! Mommy and daddy have survived as well! Let me tell you....Breanna has been such a blessing to us. Alot of times we are stil in denial that we have a little one around here! Next thing I know she will be crawling with baby teeth coming in, biting on my fingers, while she gives me gut belly laughs!

God is SO good...all the time. Some of you know me and Reg have been married for almost 6 years and miscarried the first go around. We have finally been blessed this go. We realized that HE does things in his timeframe, not ours! We are so blessed....

I love my baby girl so much....

Lets see her accomplishments thus far: She is yelling at me that baby talk, smiling uncontrollably, spitting, blowing some major spit bubbles, recognizes and smiles at us, and grandma and grandpa, loves to watch Baby Einstein, well any cartoon for that matter! Um..what else...she is kinda greedy, but thats okay, I love all her rolls!

Scrap Pink!!!

This weekend many scrapbook stores held events to help support the Susan G. Comen for the cure fundraising campaign. Yesterday our LSS Among Friends (who unfortunatley will be soon closing their doors) held a 12 hour crop. Myself, Alondra and Jennifer were there among some other scrappers. We got a lot of work done. There were goodie bags for all, we all got cute pink breast cancer pins, there was a great cake made resembling the logo for breast cancer, we had some awesome food and everyone sitting at my table won great raffle prizes! Very fun!

It felt good to do this crop knowing that I was supporting a great cause! I have breast cancer survivors in my family...may they continue to stay blessed!

Poo on me!

Yup, Poo on me for not keeping my blog updated! I feel bad everytime one of my blogger friends may come to my page to see the same ole' post over and over again! Well hey, I been busy these days so give me a break!

I kist recently completed the SoCal Shop Hop where you had to go to 29 stores, whew....what a journey! But I had so much fun! Oh, did I mention how broke I was because of it!? Now I need to scrap to put everything I bought to use!

also my baby Bre has definately been keeping me on my toes! The girl is getting big and just doing alot of stuff! She is no longer wanting to be a baby and sit back! She just feels the need toi sit up! She is spitting and blowing some serious spit bubbles, she is blabbering at the tv and sucking the mess out of her wrists! She is too much...definately keeping me on my toes!

My dad andCathy has been down visiting from Arkansas, they have been down for about a month now and will be leaving on Monday. Yup, I am sad...won't see him again until next year, shooting for Thanksgiving. It may be my first attempt to fly with an infant...we will see how that goes.

Other than that, just trying to enjoy the time left from being off work.
I will try and keep up better on the blog!

I know now!!!

I know now why I have been having a headache since the birth of my wonderful child!
Well..I been thinking...wondering what is up with this daily darn headache that seems to come and go!?
I have come to the conclusion that it is all of the high pitched baby talk I been doin lately! I guess she likes it, she smiles and talks back to me!
It's funny cause once I was talking to her, then not too long after that, the headache came! Hmph!

Shot aftermath...a little cranky today, partly because she insists on staying awake and resisting sleep! The most she slept at a nap was 20 minutes....so mama is a little tired tonight!

Why is it so HOT here in the Inland Empire!!!???

2 Months Old...

I just LOVE that freakin smile!!!!
She is almost laughing!!!

Today marked little Breanna's 2 month mark, it also meant IMMUNIZATION SHOTS! OMG...I think I cried more than her. Well not really, I am exaggerating a little....my baby screamed! I never heard her scream like that, she turned purple in the face. I felt so helpless, I couldn't do anything but hold her little arms down as hostage. =(

I thought I would be tough and would be able to handle it...does that mean that I am softy? Oh well...then let it be. I just hope that doesn't carry on into her childhood, like when she cries because she is being punished.

Anyway, other than that, she is doing extremely well. She is now 10lbs 15oz. and 22 inches long. She is doing great, smiling, cooing, all the stuff she should be doing at her age. Anyday now I am waiting for a giggle and then I will be waiting for one of those big ole' GUT belly laughs! She is such a joy to my life and makes my day. She may get mommy tired, but that is competely okay!

Wow! One month has gone by already....


It has been a very challenging but oh so beautiful time in my life. Baby Breanna is doing well, growing everyday! She is beginning now to make little cooing noises, at least trying to and she is trying to be grown already holding her head up being nosy! She is so funny...she smiles ALL the time.
What's even better is the fact that she is getting MORE sleep which means mommy and daddy are getting more sleep! YEAH!

Guess who I saw today?


Well...I was out minding my own business...doing some shopping at Scrappin Good Times in San Dimas, and who rolls in? Miss Michelle Hill! Okay so I am like, dang, I don't wanna come off stalker like or papparazi'ish! How do I just say hi!? So while she walked in I was still browsing and still thinking of how to say hi! Oh yeah..I wasn't too sure if it was her initially, but that voice! I remember her voice! Had to be her! This past March, I did one of her cute make & takes, for free and was worth it, really cute! She used a lot of Lil Davis stuff. I guess I should download it to my gallery...anyway..back to the situation at hand!

So anyway, I proceed to check out and she is back at the die cutting area making kits or something...so I ask the lady checking me out: "Is that Michelle HIll?" and she was like, "Yeah." So by this time, Miss Hill had walked back up my way and I was like forget...I said, "Umm excuse me, Miss Hill?" LOL! I was kinda being funny...she looked at me and I told her that I wasn't trying to come across all funky but really just wanted to say hello! She was really cool, evem gave me a hug! I believe in April I went to a rubberstamp / scrapbook expo in Pomona, and a vendor, Freckle Friends (which are awesome by the way), were selling one of her album kits. It was really cute. So I bought it...and finally uploaded it into my gallery just now! Don't ask me why it took me to meet up with her again to remind me to upload it!
Anyway, just wanted to share...she was really cool people, really laid back. But she was like that in the class, down to earth.

Mary J Blige Concert





Yesterday me and Reg attended our first concert! YES! Mary J Blige! And while you are asking yourself if I just wrote our first concert....YES it was our first concert! Mary was performing at San Manuel Indian Casino (was our first time up there too). She sang for a good 2 hours....I was up on my feet most of the time, shouting out the words to her greatest songs! Oh it was fun, we had a blast! The concert was packed...no trouble, no fights, NO DRAMA! All fun!
Today was pretty much my first day getting all dressed up to go have some fun with just me and hubby since Baby Bre came! It was really nice to get out of the house to be honest. I am so blessed that my mom babysat for us while mommy and daddy were out having a good time.
Only bummy part is that I had to check my camera in...heck I didn't know I couldn't take my camera in! Heck! The security guard darn near bumrushed me telling me NO CAMERA's aloud...this was AFTER I picked my camera up from the little check in area...I thought it was only no photography in the concert. You know I am a scrapbooker, its late, I am trying to get in some photos....So I take a pic of Reg in the escalator and another one of the poster advertising Marys concert...and this dude acts like I commited a criminal act! Lord! Anyway...I had a good time regardless if I got good pics or not. I still have my tickets so I can scrap those! =)

Happy Birthday TO ME!!!!



July 7th, 2007, 7/7/07...anyway you want to look at it, its a lucky day!


I feel like the luckiest woman on earth! I have THE best birthday gift laying now beside me instead of in me.


Some of you may already know but Miss Breanna Nichole made her entrance into the world June 27th, 2007 at 6:01 am, 6lbs and one oz. She came out shouting at the top of her lungs as I assumed she would. She is my little princess, and wouldn't trade her for the world.


When she came out, all I could remember is me crying, "My baby....my baby...!" Such a touching moment and life changing moment for me. I realized now I have begun a new chapter in my life as I am almost tearing up just thinking about it all over again.


Do you ever just sit back and think how awesome and complex producing life is? It is unexplainable....


Thank you for everyone wishing me great blessings and checking in with me. Being a new parent for the first time DEFINATELY has its challenges! Wow....yes indeed. I have had the baby blues which is why it has taken me a while to get on and finally post! I think I may finally be getting out of my rut and just going in full force and keeping my head up. I will be okay! WE will be okay! I have a loving supporting husband and FAMILY! Not sure what I would do without either!

Due Date..Has Come & Gone...

Bummer!!!!

Well I have a little under 2 hours left in the day, and we aren't having any action over here! Hello in there litle baby? I think she is really taking her time....and not really thinking about me! =(

Well I guess I can just look at it in a different perspective...I have waited 40 weeks, I guess I can wait one more. If nothing all week, we will be induced Sunday (next week) at 3:00pm on the dot. So if nothing else I can look forward to that. I was quite active today, went to the store, me and Reg went to Breakfast, visited his dad, visited my mom, and did some walking...so I dunno!

It's just a matter of having patience? LOL!

Tomorrow is the Day!

Well tomorow will be the 24th, my given due date, but for some reason, I don't think it is happening! I think Breanna Nichole will make her appearance when she is good and ready! I know, I know, I want her to come as much as many of my family and friends!

Had a Dr. appointment yesterday and he stated that I am almost there! Try and stay active and busy. So, today, I made sure my hospital bag was packed and I went to the bank, went and printed up some pics at CVS and even scrapped some layouts! I was surprised at all I did. Now I am just chillin with my feet up cause you know they are swollen watching ETV (Entertainment Television).

You are probably wondering what the heck is a LOLI!?

Well I actually just thought about this....when people type "LOL"....who really Laughs Out Loud?! I mean be honest....if you did you would probably frighten everyone around you, heck you might even frighten yourself!!!

LOL started along time ago when chat rooms were really active in the what, early-mid 90's? There are so many acronyms its kinda humorous...LOLI!

What about ROTF? "Rolling On The Floor" are we really rolling on the floor? It was so funny we just fell out our chair, collapsed and did a stop, drop, and roll? LOL!!! (really, I did have to laugh at that one!).

Okay here is another one....ROTFLMAO..?? Does anyone ever Roll On The Floor Laughin' their A&% Off? Well for me I have never laughed that hard where it drops me to my knees on the computer!

Don't get me wrong...their has been times where I am laughing so hard on the inside it hurts...so I hearby begin a new Acronym...LOLI LOL means: "Laughing Out Loud Inside!!" HA HAHAAA!! I am still LOLI'ing...just because its so true and funny at the same time!

Adventures of the New Ice Cream Maker!





Reggies first Father's Day gift. Am I nice or what? Well my husband has this thing about ice cream! I asked him what he wanted for Father's Day and he stated an ice cream maker, so an ice cream maker it was!
And I heard pregnant women are the ice cream eaters! Yeah right! Well above, I took a picture of this HUGE concoction he made prior to getting the maker. It contained the following: Vanilla Ice Crea, Chocolate topping, Caramel topping, strawberries, banannas, and whip cream to top it off! He had this 2 nights in a row...and it was like 10ish.
So the top picture shows his nice new ice cream maker...he made his first batch last night about 10 something last night! Mind you he had to get up for work the next morning! So it had to spin for like 4 minutes and I think he got impatient and stopped it to early, eager to taste his creation....cause he "thought it was done!" So anyway...after removing the ice cream from the maker he put it in the freezer. It is supposed to freeze for at least an hour I think...can you believe he set his alarm clock to wake back up and taste it! LOL!
Anyway, he wasn't happy with the first batch so guess what...we got a 2nd batch tonight..The taste was good, but the texture wasn't quite right. But I told him he needs to be patient! So anyway...2nd batch...the maker started making all kinds of noise! I was like REGGIE!!!! Come check your ice cream! He wants to make a 3rd batch and is on his way to the store to get more ice!!!! It is 10:17pm!!!! HELLO!? LOL!! IS he serious or what. I told him to look at his troubleshooting manual and read the directions again! Come to find out was not doing a few things....leave it up to men to skip directions and try and take short cuts!
Well at least he loves his gift! I didn't go wrong! LOL!

I'm telling you...I was so overwhelmed I seriously almost started crying. But this just goes to show you how BLESSED I am. How blessed I am to be loved by so many family members and friends. And if you are reading this blog, and contributed to this STUFF....another BIG thanks from the bottom of my heart! I'm telling you, her room is completely packed! She will be the cleanest baby with all the baby cleaning stuff, shampoos and baby gel stuff, you know what I am talkin about. If you ever see Breanna dirty, please smack me! LOL!
We finally were able to get everything just about ready, I guess all we need is Miss Breanna Nichole, but she is taking her sweet time!

Yes! More time has passed...

Okay, yes, I admit...there has been a MAJOR gap in between my last post! YES IT SAYS SEPTEMBER! Well I do have a good excuse! I am due as in NOW for my baby girl to come into this world. Not only that, I have kinda abandonned my blog here and I don't know why! I am involved in so many other things, apart of this group, that group and it gets overwhelming at times.

The main reason I started this blog was for family to keep up with me and what is goin on with me and my life. So, today, I vow to try better at keeping this darn thing updated.

I am expecting Breanna Nichole to join us in our household soon...she is due next Sunday, but she seems to be acting a little stubborn! Hopefully she will cooperate soon and come on and stop playing!

Other than that...summer is around the corner and it is HOT already. I know its nothing like what it is about to be...I am home all day and what does that mean? The air is running all day. I refuse to sweat in my own house. No way Jose!

Kitchen Under Construction

Well today is the day! I am getting my new kitchen cabinets installed! Better than Home Depot! Oh they look awesome, and they aren't even done yet. I got to pick the type of wood down to the type of stain, design of molding..everything! I am pretty excited as this was a big step for us. As you know remodeling a kitchen can be a little pricey....we are officially in debt! LOL! But its okay this is our home!

So last weekend we had all our cabinets knocked down, it looked horrible, but looking at it now you could never tell! We got it painted during the week as well...the color is called Tobacco Road...looks real nice. I will post some before and after pics later....

Oprah's Legends Ball

This special was truly amazing. It was so heart felt. I did indeed get teary eyed..BECAUSE...it was beautiful seeing all of those African American women recieve credit for all the hard work they gave. The legends had to deal with more open racism back then which made it even harder for them to live out their dream. TRUST when I say racism is still very much alive, but some people choose to NOT see it OR they just don;t recognize it because they don't know what to look for.

All of those women up there were strong women, oh my goodness to name a few, Rosa Parks (Rest In Peace), Coretta Scott King, Cicily Tyson, Maya Angelou, Shirley Caesar, Diahann Carroll, Elizabeth Catlett, Ruby Dee, Katherine Dunham, Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Nikki Giovanni, Dorothy Height, Lena Horne, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Toni Morrison, Leontyne Price, Della Reese, Diana Ross, Naomi Sims, Tina Turner, Alice Walker, Dionne Warwick and Nancy Wilson. OMG this was incredible to see.

The poem that was read, "We Speak Your Name" was so powerful! I don't know what to say other than that, I honor Oprah for televising something like this!

This weekend was a freakin BLAST!!!!

I had the best time of my life!
This past weekend, my scrapbook group planned a scrapbook retreat in Palm Springs. It was great. There were 6 of us. Let me give you a little taste of what I was dealing with this weekend. We were at a 3 bedroom villa, where each bedroom had their own bathroom wich was nice. Before hand Andrea (who hosts the retreats), asked us which is our favorite snacks and drinks. She had AMPLE supply of goodies. When we got there, she had goodie bags for all of us. She waited on us hand and foot. She made our freakin beds for cryin' out loud! Cooked us complete meals, for breakfast, lunch and dinner! even had some sweets for us at night time. She made sure we wanted nothing, we were never bored. We pretty much entertained ourselves.
Saturday we kinda hung out more than anything...some of us had massages whoch were GREAT, we went shopping at the local scrapbook store and some went to clothing stores. There was a pool and jacuzzi in the back yard, not to mention which was a private patio. We were all out there hangin out, laughing, dancing, we must have watched about 10 movies! 1. Do you know me and your mama use to come home from parties at 4 in the morning and get back up at 6:00 in the morning for work?

I'm sorry but times have just completely changed. The things you use to do back then....no way possible you can do them today. Sorry, Chaw-lie!
So, as most of you know I started back to school this quarter and I got this promotion at work right? I am burnt out! How am I supposed to be focused enough on the weekends to scrap?! I mean this is just plaine ole ridiculous! I work 10 hour shifts each day, MW I am in class right after work till 8pm, then TR I am in class from 7-10pm, right after work... I think my priorites are a little jacked up though, because I could be looking in my text books rather than blogging and thinking about all the other fun things I could be doing, like completing my All About Me Book that needs to be done by this Saturday!! Hello!?

I am taking this music class...and I am just too through! I have never had any musical background, and we are expected to learn to read music, write it, and play it on a Soprano Recorder! Oh yeah...and teach a lesson plan! By the way, it is Music in the Classroom in case you were wondering...AND it is required! ARGHH!!!! I dread this class! And because we are on a 10 week quarter system it makes it more complicated because he teaches way to quick! Its not that I don't appreciate music, but learning to play it is compicated, especially if you are an adult with 100 million things on your mind! Now, give me some music and I can sure dnace to it! And I have rhythm and I can find the beat! But play it? Thats a different story!

1st Laker Playoff Game...

Went pretty sour. In my opinion the refs of course were NOT in our favor. True, we were behind majority of the time, but boy were they callin some real bad calls, and didn't make any right calls! Well they didn't do so well for the first game, hopefully we can take the next game. Lakers need to work on their ball control, way too many turnovers!

Other than the Laker Game, we invited some family and friends over for BBQ it was a good day. We had carne asada, chicken, hot links, greens, corn on the cop, macaroni salad and potato salad....I think I got everything. Oh! Baked beans! How can I forget the beans! Everything was yummy!

Went on a mini shopping spree today!

Yes! I had fun today, I went shopping! The only funny thing about it is I didn't buy not one scrap related item! Isn't that something? Lane Bryant was having a really nice sale 25% off everything, and I had one of those nice gift cheques, like if you spend $225, you get $75.00 off. taht was nice. Since I am kinda tall, they are the only place I can find just the right fit. they had some cute skirts and nice summer shirts. Then I hit up Mervyn's cause the cashier that was ringing me up had the nerve to tell me that they were having a store wide sale too! All their shoes were like 50% off and had some really cute sandals, but you can imagine what the shoe isle looked like! Like a toy isle on Christmas Eve! THEN...off to Target! Bought some more clothes and some things for around the house.

Now, you may be asking yourself, I hit up even Target and didn't buy no scrapbook stuff?! You gotta remember, I gotta look good when I scrap right!?? HA HA HAA!! No seriously, I always indulge in supplies, so I figured I get some clothes this time, for work and play.
I met my sister and nephew for lunch at Chilis which was all good...I am still full.
Overall I had a good day!

Sunny Day in Cali

Was today beautiful or what? Besides the ever so thick layer if brownish, orange'ish smog layer....it was a breautiful day! See...if you live in Southern Cali, you have learn how to look past that big thick nasty cloud of funk! The weather was nice, opened up the sun/moon roof cruised to my music....I hated to get out of the car. Nothing like rollin in your car feeling the breeze while playng your music!

The mountains are becoming so green from all the rain, some of the mountains still have snow on them, it was about 84 defrees today, just lovely! Hearing birds chir, birds fly, kids playing outside...nice!

Please tell me WHY is it scheduled to rain again? They said tomorrow..but I didn't see any clouds in the sky. I guess we will see tomorrow morning!

Monday Blues...

Well, back to work today and still no computer! I work at a place where most the communication is done on the computer! Wow! what is a girl to do? Am I upset that I can't get any work done? Or more upset that I can't get on the internet to check my mail, go to my Yahoo Group, check my blog and other favorite blogs, or see who if any has left any comments on My PLace? LOL!! Well the latter is the truth! Well I officially started my new job today, and did some training. They do job shadowing for 3 months...whoa! Its a lot to learn, but it was confessed that we were being kinda thrown into the job! So wish me luck.
Also school started back today. ARGH! Do you know how difficult it is to pass your home to go to class and sit for 2 hours!!?? What a dread! Found out that one of my text books is running $100.00...and thats just one class, got one more tomorrow! I am blessed to work for a company that pays for your education! WOO HOO...maybe I will see if I can get reimbursed for my text books..I will give it a try.
Anyway, well late nights for me at least for this future quarter ahead of me.

The Great Transition

Well today is my Friday thank you JESUS!!!
The past 2 days I have been making a transitition to another phase in my life. I have been promoted from a Property Technian to an Occupancy Technican II for the Section 8 program. Along with this promotion, I have moved into a new 3 million dollar building, with my own office! WooHoo...imagine that! I am still a peon though, but at least I have an office with a nice huge window! However, I am still missing a CPU, a phone and some other minor things....

But...change is good. I a willing to learn and I am actually excited.

Pajama Crop...couldn't hang!

Yup this is me!!! I know I look a mess but it was a pajama crop! There was a pajama crop at our Local Scrapbooking Store called Among Friends, celebrating its one year anniversary. There was an all night crop, 7pm-7am...needless to say I didn't hang till no 7am! I left about 4ish...so tired didn't know what to do! When thnigs start looking blurry and the same, its time to walk away! Everything was nice though, nice turn out, munchies, food, everything was nice. I even picked up a few prizes! Madea's Family Reunion

The movie was off tha hook!
